1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, request services, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include: name, email, phone number, profile picture, payment method, device identifiers, and other info you choose to provide.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, including to facilitate payments, send receipts, provide customer support, develop safety features, authenticate users, prevent fraud, and send product updates.

3. Sharing of Information

We may share the information we collect about you with third parties for business purposes. For example, we share your public profile and job history with potential employers or taskers. We also share data with payment processing partners (such as Onafriq) to facilitate transactions, and with infrastructure providers that help us operate the platform (listed in section 9).

4. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access. FunaGigs uses enterprise-grade Supabase infrastructure to ensure your data is encrypted in transit and at rest where supported.

5. Your Choices and Account Deletion

You may correct your account information at any time by logging into your account. To delete your account, use Settings → Delete account in the mobile app, or follow the instructions on our delete-account page. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention, financial records) to the extent permitted by law.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our marketing website may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and anonymous usage analytics (including Vercel Analytics). You can control cookies through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and transaction data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Marketing lead form submissions are retained until the inquiry is resolved and then archived or deleted per our internal retention schedule.

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law (including Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@funagigs.com or contact@funagigs.com.

9. Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate FunaGigs, including Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Google (Firebase, Crashlytics, and advertising where enabled in the app), and payment partners. These providers process data only to perform services on our behalf.

10. Children's Privacy

FunaGigs is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
